No Organiser, just a time and a date to be there.

As it appears that the Tara issue is being hi-jacked at times, and that some people have a problem being associated with particular groups, a non-alligned protest is planned for 7.30pm on Thursday 28th of July at the site of the Tara dig, beside the Tara na Rí pub.

All and everybody welcomed provided their interest is in genuinely saving the Tara valley, rerouting of M3 and ending the digging.
To make it easy for everyone, the protest will be at 7.30pm meeting at the Tara na Rí pub beside the current dig site. read full story / add a comment

The 2 big issues today are Poverty and Global Warming - both caused ultimately by
Western consumerism (Mandela: poverty is not natural - it is man-made. Bush: Our
American way of life is not negotiable.) But if the rest of the world must catch up to
American levels of consuming there would be a total environmental disaster - so how
can we persuade American - and European - consumers to cut their ever-increasing
greed? What if we just shared out equally over the whole world everything we already
own or produce - would Western lifestyles really fall to a terribly low level? Details
and statistics of such an equally-shared world for each of us. read full story / add a comment

A major bombshell was dropped on us An Post workers last Thursday, July 14TH when what we though was a Labour Court hearing about the fact that us An Post workers have still not received our pay increases under the "Sustaining Progress” pay deal going back to November 1ST 2003; was instead we were informed; that instead that The Labour Court had linked the payment of Sustaining Progress to the Collection and Delivery Agreement that is outstanding with the CWU! In other words, no one gets anything until this issue is resolved! read full story / add a comment
