Journalists like Paul Mason who argue GB News is "far Right" and must be shut down have clearly never watched it, says Andrew Doyle. If they had they'd know that their idea bear zero relationship to the reality.

The majority of people charged over last week's riots live locally to the violent demonstrations which they allegedly joined, analysis has found, contradicting Keir Starmer's claim they were coming from out of town.

These are two of heard specific details of although there are loads more - maybe people who know about them could post details here so others know what time etc to show up. And if there is one nearby to you why not just go and do it with a few mates. If others are already doing the same station then its a good chance to meet up

Pickets on Statoil this Friday in Cabra
by James Og - WSM

WSM members living around the area will be doing a picket of a service station on the New Cabra Road this Friday from 6.00pm. We're meeting up at the station itself.

The more people the merrier in things like this. It seems that the pickets have more or less shut loads of filling stations which must be impacting on profits to some extent. If this happens enough and the pickets in Mayo itself disrupt business - which is the major thing really.

We are going to be at statoil between 5-7pm between Newlands cross and the belgarde rd [beside bewleys hotel] so if anyone who lives west Dublin can make it to make up numbers that would be cool.

Castleknock Statoil is been picketted at 2pm by local Labour members and then again at six by Sinn Fein members

But you couldn't make it up that the first announcement of a Labour picket is Castleknock. Well done but you have to laugh.

The shinners blockaded a Statoil in Deansgrange - did that give you a giggle?

In terms of impact on Shell, isn't it better to discommode the well healed middle classes who have access to the media and the levers of power? The impact that targeting the wealthy has on both politics and industry is far greater than causing disruption in working class areas that the elites dont give a shit about anyway.

So don't laugh Northsider, your only displaying your own ignorance.

seein as its friday and i dont now have to face a 2 hour commute home, ok. It was mildly funny and didn't deserve the boot in the head treatment- Fair enough Belfast Exile? And I agree with you, its good to see Labour getting involved.

Way to go companeros, what a sight to see: Shinners, Anarchists, Marxists, Labourites, Eco-heads, Greenies ..... all united to behind the the Rossport Five. Now if only we could be like this all the time.

author by Khalid Faroukpublication date Fri Jul 22, 2005 23:52author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Who wants to be united behind Labour and SF normally?

Lets look at thier track record.

SF: Sectarian conflict, terrorism, murder, extortion, rackets, right wing policies in power - deals with FF on councils, bin tax, support water charges, shutting hospitals, privatising schools, money off big business...

Labour: Coalitions with FF & FG, sell outs, water tax disconnection, social partnership, EU treaties, neo liberalism, support for UN invasion of iraq, privatisation, putting nurses on strike, bin tax....

Unity for the sake of unity is useless and even counter productive as it gives 'left cover' to these careerist pro capitalist neo liberal parties. As Connolly said the working class is unlike all other forces, it is strongest when it stands alone!
