To the great dismay of the very many people internationally who are working selflessly, to improve public health by urging governmental reconsideration of current obsolete national standards of permissible exposure to microwave radiation it appears that witnesses, including Prof. Olle Johansson, Sweden, Dr.. Annie Sasco, France, and Dr. Dimitris Panagopoulos, Greece have suffered academic persecution at least in part for having rendered great public service by testifying before the Canadian Parliament. read full story / add a comment

This move was supported by Brendan Smith, then Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, without a mandate from the people of Ireland. It is now time to harvest the growing momentum of concern among the people of Ireland. Food Action and GM-Free Ireland invite you to participate in ‘Keeping Ireland GM Free/StopGMO – Gathering Momentum’ an all-Island gathering. There is not one word on his literature about his position on abortion, civil partnership, his opposition to gay rights in general, his opposition to sex education. Not one word about religious values. No reference to his support for the Iona Institute and the right wing economic policies of its director David Quinn (overspending on public services was the problem) His Brief CV makes no mention of his period as sec to archbishop Connell. He is only for adult stem cell research etc You would think he was a soft-hearted liberal! When will he come out as a catholic extremist? read full story / add a comment

Tonight at 22.45 GMT the United Nations passed resolution 1973/211, which imposes a no-fly zone across Libya, as well as restricting the asset movements from Libyan national companies. Amid celebratory scenes in Benghazi with lots of fireworks and lots of automatic weapons fire , China, India, Russia and Brazil (sometimes as a block called BRIC) all abstained along with Germany.
