On BBC Politics Chris Packham claimed "something called science" is evidence that the recent Dubai flooding was caused by climate change. But there's nothing scientific about the models that 'prove' that, says Paul Sutton.

The Church of England announced £100m in reparations for profiting from the slave trade. But now a historian has shown this is a mistake: the church never profited from slavery. Will the woke ever get their history right?

There is, sadly, no Big Oil money sloshing around to handsomely remunerate climate sceptical journalism. But on the other side, the green prophets of doom are doing very well out of the whole thing, says Ben Pile.

Is it time for St. George to stand aside for St. George Floyd? Or is there another makeover of England's patron saint that would make him acceptable to the professionally offended and anti-English crowd?

Citizen's Rights Suspended Because of Queen's Visit

Citizen's Rights Suspended Because of Queen's Visit

Dear Indymedia fans. One thing I have noticed because of the Queen's visit to Ireland is that people's rights in certain areas seemed to have been suspended for the duration of her visit.

I will explain. I have viewed comments about, and seen videos that show people being subjected to bag search's in Dublin City by the Gardai, and having to go through checkpoints in order for this to be carried out. I have also seen a video that shows a member of the Gardai telling a woman that she (the Garda) has to confiscate a person's Irish flag under Section 21. ( I have provided a link to that particular video)

If this is going to be the path that is pursued in relation to further state visits by Royal Family members (or Presidents) people will need to start reminding the Gardai that citizen's have the constitutional right to the following:

A. Freedom of speech

B. Freedom of association

C. Personal rights.

D. Freedom of assembly

It is the government and their advisers that are ignoring civil rights and the constitution , the Gardai are following their orders. Civil rights have been dead for a long time in Ireland.

as I was not allowed to reach home which was at 20 mt from a check point, I started a complaint with all the institutions to learn that the Irish kingdom (someone calls it a republic, but...) gave full freedom of action to gardai who have been arbitrarily getting decisions on how to manage their power and safety. I resulted in a chaos of abuses and stupidity never seen which should be seriously noticed afterward for all the damages created to individuals in their daily lives without any care or sensitivity or refund.
I guess that this is a clear signal of absolute lack of interest in people welfare, and,as a kingdom, landlords just behave as some rags on the fields are there to me squeezed by them with no human rights at all.
Because this still pisses me off after one month since then, I guess every individual who suffered a damage should lodge a symbolic bill of few quids, in an individual or collective petition to ask for refund from this absolute abuse.
And from this any single break of respect of individual lives should be remarked and noted somewhere on a public board to start watch on and report these abusers, which feel free to act as they wish and against any sense, well paid with public money.
I guess we can stop this happen and discuss how to present a referendum to limit the authority freedom of abuse, and to ask citizens local commissions to be allowed to supervise their work.
