Oxfordshire's green lunatics are at it again, says Ben Pile. Councils which you would think had enough on their plate trying to stop drug and rape gangs are instead spending taxpayers' money on sucking CO2 out of the air.

Shell Gas Station Shut Down in London, Ontario Canada

category international | environment | news report author Wednesday October 13, 2010 15:32author by Seanach Report this post to the editors

Bike Bloc cycles to Shell Station in London Canada and closes it for business

A cavalcade of bicycles cycled down Wellington Street to Oxford Street and converged on a shell Gas Station and held a rally while blocking all entrances to the station.

Allies of Shell to Sea in Canada are watching closely what is happening in Ireland as the same oil company is tries to exploit the land that we live on, namely the "tar sands".

At around 630 PM on October 12th, about 50 cyclists emerged at the Shell Gas station, closing it for business, in solidarity with Shell to Sea, the residents of Co. Mayo being affected, the Lubicon Cree whose health and livelihoods are being destroyed in Alberta, and the people of the Niger Delta.

Statements were read about the situation in Co. Mayo, Nigeria, and the Tar Sands in Alberta. Participants in the action are coming to realize that we are not alone in our struggles, and the sooner we branch out and reach each other, the better.

We stand with you in solidarity.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVqqFo93FPc&feature=related is a link to part 3 in a Dutch small tv production on exploitation by big Dutch companies. It is in Dutch but the reporter who is waiting in the hall of the Stibbe solicitors firm shows a book on how to exploit the masses and in it is a bit on all the laws (ab)used to pry the natural gas from the Irish without the masses knowing they are being robbed. As you can see the building is extremely big. Irish money fueling the economy of Holland.
