One of the protesters was interviewed over the phone it was noisy as people were chanting loudly 'No Fees' and' Peaceful protest'.

This is the first live report from Indymedia:
'We are still in a blockade, it started an hour and a half ago with over 150 people, three arrested for peaceful protest, then the guards got violent. They punched me in the face they rugby tackled another bunch of guys'.

Lenihan came in an escorted UCD services jeep he still trapped inside there's no sign of him coming out. He's too scared to come out!

Free Education for everyone, an autonimist group in UCD organised this and was supported by SU.'

I was at protest. It was very very Good. Couple of Hundred there blocking the Minister. The SU were very bad by telling us to be "peaceful" (their langauge for ineffective). Dan O'Neil and Aodhan the President left and did not stay with the Protest. I also noted that Aidan Regan (a former SU Deputy President) passed the protest and attended the evening with Brian Lenihan. Funny to see Lenihan scuttling out the back bundled into a car!
