Shell to Sea Protest at the DAIL

category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | news report author Saturday December 01, 2007 22:14author by Eamonn O' Coilea'in - Republic of IRELAND Report this post to the editors

Shell to Sea will Protest Dail once a month

Shell to Sea protesting at the DAIL 21st Nov; up to 200 protesters say to the Politicians that we are not going away!
Erris S2S traveled to DUBLIN to show that they were here to say no to RAW GAS PIPELINES!!
Shell to sea at Dail
Shell to sea at Dail

A large group of shell to sea protesters traveled to Dublin to say no Raw Gas pipelines in Erris, and to say we are not going away, we have rights and a duty to our future generations to protect our ENVIROMENT and our DRINKING WATER, Why should we have to stand by and watch shell and the Irish Government destroy our Enviroment. It's time they listened and listen to the reality to whats happening at the Bellanaboy site; not just the shell PR spin.
Shell would have you beleive that they are here to do the area greatness when all they want is to get their production pipeline up and running at any cost to the local population and at very high pressure. Do they (shell) really care ? or the Government ? for that matter. To Destroy a large area, some of it Special Area of Conservation; just to let shell line their own pockets is just not on and do not have the local consent so they should step back durring Christmas and think what they are doing to the IRISH PEOPLE and their private lands!! Thank you all who attended***

Fair play to all attending to remind the Dail, Dublin, & the whole world that this issue of injustice, environment, & national sovereignty won't go away.

Well done!
Take the battle to the enemy.
Its not so easy to ignore you and beat the crap out of you outside the Dail.

Taking the battle to the enemy is all good and well, stating its hard to beat the shit out of you in front of the dail, in fairness they arent stopping people getting to their place of work, they arent breaking in ! bit of a difference there!

... it does continue to highlight the lose-lose scenario of demising control over increasingly scarce (thereby more valuable) natural resources while attempting to destroy another natural resource in its own right - Erris.
