Bush's Veto and Irish electoral boundaries.

category national | anti-capitalism | opinion/analysis author Thursday July 20, 2006 10:23author by Chris Murray - The Unmanageables Report this post to the editors

Other Press issues.

George Dubya Bush has used his presidential veto to block the
vote on Stem Cell Research

The census , in Ireland has given us a constitutional challenge regarding
the Dublin West constituency.

Being that Bush's onslaught ( the first one) was owing to the pregnancy of the chads
and the anti-woman flavour of juggernaut style capitalism, creationism, religious warfare and the whole white male dominance that accompanies him and his fellow dictator Blair, it's hardly surprising.

God afterall is his potency and god is male.( Kinder-garten philosophy.
Or creationist christianity?)

Both involve the bully in the playground, sub-racist agenda of Race to the top and it doesn't matter a fuck who you trample on , once they are not like you. Elitism on the scale of L Ron Hubbard and his little space -crafts.

Number Two:

The census has revealed that there could be a constitutional challenge - (another one) to the electoral constituency of Dublin west, it is under-represented.
There is not enough time to achieve this (according to the Irish media) before the election, which is slated for June of next year.

Under-representation in Irish establishment, has actually been an ongoing issue.
it involves women being represented in (Mc Dowell's favourite expression) the triple arm of good governance.

However, the low turn outs would point (for the optimistic) amongst us, a little wave of anarchistic uncaring about what they actually do in the Dail- or maybe alienation.

Some of the arguments around cultural debasement of language and collective identity
are slightly more developed at these links....

and

or
(in a nutshell)

Under-representation in democratic institutions by women is a problem.

and a cultural agenda based on the repression of difference and squashing it down into a debased world view has massive repurcussions on a global scale. The use of the veto in relation to stem cell
research snook in under the cheer-leading of the border incursion by the Israeli's.
Wherein the "if you are not with us, you are against us" philosophy of greed, repression and expansion has spread. It begins with the attack on expression and erosion of citizen rights that we have been experiencing for years in this country.
