There's method in Trump's tariff madness, says Ramesh Thakur. Uniting his America First, anti-Net Zero and anti-DEI policies is an imperative to untangle the US from strategic dependence on an ascendant China.

Ulster Councillor says Hurricane Katrina was God's "Anti Gay Punishment"

category antrim | environment | other press author Friday November 18, 2005 11:02author by gentle jesus meek and mild Report this post to the editors

Ballymena DUP councillor Maurice Mills has said that the Hurricane Katrina (which caused homelessness for millions, devasted three US gulf states, killed around 1,300 people and left an estimated clean up / rebuilding bill of 125billion$)

was an Act of God to punish Homosexuals. He is currently advising people on how to avoid such tropical storms.

"The recent Hurricane Katrina descended on New Orleans and took many people suddenly into eternity," Mr Mills said.

"However, the media failed to report that the hurricane occurred just two days prior to the annual homosexual event called the Southern Decadence Festival which the previous year had attracted an estimated 125,000 people."

"Surely this is a warning to nations where such wickedness is increasingly promoted and practised."

Mr Mills though is not worried that God will smote him so. (He's got immunity)

""Christ alone died for my sins on Calvary's cross and my personal faith exercised in his finished work upon that cross and by the cleansing of his precious blood I have the assurance of sins forgiven and peace with God."

Bertie, today you get to talk to the DUP. They're coming to Dublin. Now you're best not talking about the weather, reducing emissions, global warming or stuff like that.

Because as we all know its colder up north, and it rains more.

GOD ALONE KNOWS WHY.

now thats an ulster scots words if ever there was one. How exactly would you translate "forthright" into any other language (southern hiberno-english included) {gaeilge m.é.d.t.é.} ?
Go on!!!! admit it, you'd change "forthright" into something else, and thus lose the subtle meaning and nuance. (Quite something a subtle Paisley) That's because most of us don't really know what "forthright" means. Perhaps why we don't use the word. Answers on a postcard...
