Labour's new National Curriculum is dripping with DEI and Left-wing dogma. Teaching Britain's national story is out, pushing more multiculturalism is in. It's the last thing Britain needs right now, says Dr Nicholas Tate.

Italian police use water cannons, tear gas & stun grenades as they clash with anti-lockdown protesters in Rome

category international | rights, freedoms and repression | news report author Wednesday October 28, 2020 16:28author by 1 of indy Report this post to the editors

There is trouble brewing in lots of countries as people are reaching their limits with these lockdowns and restrictions and this came to the surface in Rome, Italy yesterday as police unleashed a range of riot control weapons against the masses protesting.

Meanwhile last week end there were huge protests in Naples after Southern Italy declared new lockdowns and curfew.

The report is from rt.com -surprising why these reports never appear on the mainstream media.

Police in Italy’s capital unleashed an arsenal of riot control weapons on crowds protesting a new round of coronavirus lockdown measures, blasting demonstrators with water cannons, tear gas and flash bang grenades.

A protest rally near Rome’s historic Piazza del Popolo square descended into violence on Tuesday night as several hundred demonstrators took to the streets to demand an end to new Covid-19 policies imposed over the weekend, which include a 6pm curfew for bars and restaurants and shutdown orders for public facilities such as gyms, swimming pools and movie theaters.

Footage obtained by RT’s video agency Ruptly showed police clad in heavy riot gear firing water cannons and other crowd munitions on activists, including deafening concussion grenades

In other videos making the rounds on social media, protesters were seen returning fire with rocks, bottles and other makeshift projectiles as they braved water cannons and tear gas.

Southern Italy Declares Lockdown, Curfew. People Pour Out in Protest, Clash With Police, Instead

The Campania region, which includes Naples, announced it would go into lockdown on Friday as the number of COVID-19 cases [test positives] soared. Demonstrators threw flares and other missiles at police who responded with tear gas. There were unconfirmed reports protestors stormed local government offices. Jakub Wondreys posted a video of the disorder on Twitter with the caption: “Big anti-regional government COVID-19 restrictions protests are happening right now in Naples, Italy. “The situation seems to be out of control, thousands of people in the streets fighting with police, also stormed the regional government offices.” https://twitter.com/i/status/1319869876136235008

Footage posted on social media showed thousands of demonstrators, many wearing masks to protect against coronavirus, marching through the city.

Many were chanting “freedom, freedom, freedom” during their procession.

RadioSavana, which has been covering the protests, tweeted: “All of Naples in revolt!

“The population is mass protesting against the lockdown.

“At 11.00 pm the curfew order is triggered, the images are live: civil disobedience in progress.”

They later added: “Protests also underway in Salerno, Nocera and other cities of Campania.”
