Plastic surgeons and orthopedic specialists from the UK are based at the Amal and Nasser hospitals in Khan Younis in the south of the territory.

Dr. Tom Potokar, a plastic surgeon specializing in burn injuries, has worked in Gaza 16 times but said this mission had revealed a level of destruction far greater than his last visit in 2023,

The Connolly Youth Movement is appalled by the contents of a leaked email containing a confidential briefing by Daniel Mulhall, Director-General on the EU at the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs to a British diplomat Elizabeth Green. The CYM believes that this clearly shows the attitude of the Irish and EU establishment to the Irish people and the upcoming referendum. The confidential email shows that the Irish government is intent on pushing this Treaty through without the serious debate that the issue warrants. Concerned citizens protesting against the ongoing destruction of Tara and its Sacred Valley in County Meath in Ireland say that they have received reports of another possible push by SIAC/FERROVIAL thugs to destroy still more of the ancient Monument at Rath Lugh. A large and lively protest took place today outside Cherryorchard Hospital by carers, patients and supporters in the Ballyfermot area. The union IMPACT brought a case on behalf of 91 civil servants under the European Directive on the protection of fixed-term workers, implemented as the Protection of Employees (Fixed Term Workers) Act 2003 in Ireland. The case demands of equality of treatment with comparable established colleagues and of extension of retrospective benefits to 2001, the date agreed to by the state as a signatory to the Directive, rather than 2003 when the Act was finally signed. read full story / add a comment
