Recent media reports have cited Dolores Kelly, the SDLP Assembly representative for the Upper Bann constituency (and the Garvaghy Road) as having claimed that people were ‘very frightened and anxious that a parade down the Garvaghy Road is a price Sinn Féin is prepared to pay for the devolution of policing and justice’. Lets face it . The GP is now little more than the bordello of Irish politics. You pay - the harlot performs. She does so at the whim of the punter. And repeats it just so long as he pays.

If Ms de Burca's allegations are to be believed as written her unbridled personal column in today's Irish Times, it would seem that not only have the Greens lost their moral compass ; they have buried it under a host of erstwhile worthy principles.
In these circumstances t'would be well were the Green's to bury this current arrangement of their party system and try to reform themselves rigorously before they attempt to resurrect themselves , with any credibility. read full story / add a comment

The Northern Ireland Assembly Minister for Culture, Nelson McCausland, has accused the minority community in Portadown of pursuing a policy of ‘cultural apartheid’. This is a gross and insulting distortion of the facts. The International Criminal Court defined apartheid as being inhumane acts 'committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime'. read full story / add a comment

Israel’s latest response to the UN on its investigations into alleged violations of international law by its forces in Gaza a year ago is totally inadequate, Amnesty International said today. Crucial questions about the conduct of attacks in which hundreds of civilians were killed and thousands were made homeless are not credibly addressed in Israel’s update to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. read full story / add a comment

Did he really get away with this with his lying by increments, his obscenely flawed rhetoric. His false claims re Saadam and WMD.. the notion of a rogue state ..- the real rogue stat in the region.
And do the Brits reall give a dam anyway, as integrity has only an inconvenience and only had £ shop currency.
