The eleven works in Alexander Calder and Joan Miró have been brought together in IMMA’s magnificent 17th-century courtyard in celebration of the long-standing friendship between the two artists, which began in the 1920s and continued up to the time of Calder’s death in 1976.

The hostile local government refuses to budge on their demands, which include access to clean and non-poisonous drinking water, proper health care and economic rehabilitation. It will seek to explain how it makes economic sense to simply give away billions of euro worth of natural gas to the big energy companies.

Given the almost total media blackout of Republican Sinn Féin during the Stormont election the results for its candidates were only as expected. Even the name of Republican Sinn Féin was suppressed by the Stormont régime’s electoral body and a compliant media followed suit.
