Dublin - Event Notice Thursday January 01 1970 1% Network Halloween treasure hunt around Ballsbridge![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On October 30 join the 1% Network for an after dark Halloween ramble around exclusive Shewsbury road where behind the high dark walls of their rambling mansions lie the zombie developers, vampire bankers and ghost estate creators of the long ago Celtic Tiger era sleeping on their piles of accumulated wealth. Shake with horror as you gaze at the AIB HQ and the black hole within that continues to suck billions of funding from health and education. On October 30 the 1% Network will be holding a Halloween event amongst the most expensive streets of Dublin where mansions have sold for up to 51 million. We will be meeting at 6.30 in the evening near the RDS (exact venue to be announced). We will be having a look at some of the monsters who think the costs of the crisis should be paid for by the low paid, the sick and the unemployed rather than the 1% who own 34% of the wealth in the country. Come along and join us, fancy dress along the theme of zombie developers, vampire bankers and ghost estates encouraged. |

Here is the poster for the tour,
Got an email earlier saying that Bernard McNamara and Dermot Gleesons houses are going to be visited on saturday evening.
For those who have been hiding under a stone for the last few years Bernard McNamara is a former fianna fail councilor / property developer who reneged of a PPP deal with Dublin city council. As a result of his leeching on the deal hundreds of families in Devanney Gardens, St Teresas Gardens and St Michaels have been denied the new homes they were promised - leaving them living in substandard and unsafe housing for years to come.
And Gleeson is a former attorney general and head honcho at Allied Irish Banks - indeed he was at the tiller when the good ship AIB hit the rocks back in 2008. Hasnt stopped him doing alright for himself though. He's now back at the bar (legal not public) pulling in the mega-bucks.
These gents still live happily on Ailsbury and Shrewsbury roads- no fines - no jail - no seizure of assets - no problem.
These are the type of 1% people who should be getting the axe in the budget and not the rest of us. Roll on saturday evening. Bring your anger to their doors.
