UK Budget

category international | consumer issues | other press author Tuesday June 22, 2010 13:15author by lazy Report this post to the editors

any pundits here ?

The true-blue Tories are having to *save* 61 BILLION between now and 2014 !!!

Interestingly they are cutting non-protected spends such as the NHS. Child Benefit will
not be taxed or means-tested but will be subject to a three year freeze. All eyes on the
Chancellor (who interestingly has Irish Connections)

The UK budget is a whiplash so far but its only just happening and hasn't got
to such delicate things as Northern Ireland yet. Since its a Tory Budget, the emphasis
will be on business, Defence and Energy.

I don't reckon Cameron will diverge that much on spending in terms of Brown's policy
on energy, which had at base, an entente in New Generation nuclear Power (With France)
and the rapid expansion and development of the Sellafield site. We have Greenis in Power
right now- who don't really talk about Sellafield. {{{ Poolbeg, IBEC plans to create *another*
huge building programme to enhance employment opportunites and which will be
developer-led}}}

Bertie and Brian's Pretensions to a weird Right-wing nexus of Business > Bank >
Dripdown wealth accumulation failed as much as Brown's and Blair's. Budgets seem to represent
a huge clawback in wasteage and falsity.

The disabled will have 'Medical tests' (Oh BTW)
