Elaine Boyle, socialist, feminist, revolutionary, writer, and poet from Drimnagh, sadly and suddenly passed away last week. Sadly mourning the passing away of London born Drimnagh woman, Elaine Boyle, (1959 – 2010). Elaine passed away on Tuesday 4th May in the Matter Hospital, Dublin. On Sat May 1st, 2010, Elaine joined the workers march in Dublin. She was arrested by police, and later brought to the Matter Hospital in an ambulance. When the ambulance arrived at the hospital, she escaped and ran off. However, later that night, she was found at the foot of a wall, severly injured. When she arrived at the hospital, she was declared brain-dead. Her loving daughter Nora Boyle was at her side on Tuesday when her heart stopped beating. |
