There?s no food getting in so people are starving,? surgeon Tom Potokar says
British doctors working in Gaza have described the territory as a ?slaughterhouse,? where the patients they are treating are severely malnourished.
Plastic surgeons and orthopedic specialists from the UK are based at the Amal and Nasser hospitals in Khan Younis in the south of the territory.
Dr. Tom Potokar, a plastic surgeon specializing in burn injuries, has worked in Gaza 16 times but said this mission had revealed a level of destruction far greater than his last visit in 2023,
It is time to talk about the Out of Control Immigration. Mon Mar 31, 2025 22:12 | imc
For the last few years since the CV19 scamdemic undocumented immigration into Ireland has surged. No one is allowed discuss it because they do not want any rational debate about it. If you do you are labelled an extremist. However this out of control immigration is fully facilitated by the Irish government and the EU and the shady figure behind the Neo Con movement pushing for endless war, wokeism and globalist agenda.

Applications for asylum were up 14% on the previous 12 months after a surge in migrants reaching Britain in small boats, according to official figures. So much for Labour's promise to "smash the gangs".

The Truth About Britain?s Wildfires Thu Aug 21, 2025 15:00 | Paul Homewood
It is simplistic to blame the recent spike in wildfires on climate change, writes Paul Homewood. A more likely cause is the rewilding of uplands, supposedly to cut carbon emissions, and poor management of forested land.

Will your site be heavily moderated?
Will smaller groups be allowed to make press releases / have discussions there?
I do wish you the best of luck with it.
We don't tend to take ourselves too seriously over there so we won't be interfering with free speech unless it is racist, sexist or sectarian. We will be stepping in as much as possible to prevent trolling as it is entirely against the spirit of good and open debate; apart from that we hope to have very little moderation to perform as it only keeps us from discussion.
Any political or campaign group that is related to Ireland will be given their own sections to in both the political discussion and political theory/resource sections upon request. There will also be the possibilty that we may appoint representatives from these groups to moderate their own sections with oversight from ourselves to ensure fair play.
I've signed up already!!
Great work, but don't fall into the P.C. trap, (If Merle is on board that shouldn't happen).
Count me in, a reluctant F.G. General Election supporter but anti Lisbon, libertarian.
Congratulations Mr Crowley on setting up your forum. May the luck be with you.
If anyone is interested in setting up a Irish politics community properly (capable of competing with the likes of politics.ie) feel free to pop me an email.

It's five months now since Political World was started as a place for open political discussion. We're just coming up to our 500th member and 50,000th post. You're welcome to join us.
Since EEC membership in 1972 when Ireland fell foul to, at best naive Irish politicians and at worst, corrupt Irish politicians, we have had no control over our destiny. We have no natural resources to call our own not because we don't but because they have been tricked away from us by the vultures behind the 'great European project'. Now , at a time that we see GB exiting the EU, we need to reclaim our resources and build a nation that is based on real resources, real wealth, and real NATIONAL PRIDE. When we gave the wrong result first time to Lisbon ('the 'EU Constitution') we were criticised for being uncharitable to new EU countries in need after all the charity we had received! But this was not true. We received crumbs from the EU table to keep us happy in return for the EU raping our world-class fishing grounds! Let us now take a two step approach: 1) Referrendum to leave the EU sess-pit, and 2) State control of fisheries rights and oil/gas rights in Irish waters. If we wait another decade or so, when the damage will be so much more evident, and we are nothing more than a poor region of Germany's Europe, we will find exiting with our resources met with a forceful NO from EU! Let us act now while we have a friendly, powerful neighbour doing likewise
In stating that "State control of fisheries rights and oil/gas rights in Irish waters" should be a constitutional objective the poster is overlooking that historically the Irish fishing fleet has been small and can't compete with the big fleets and factory ships of Spain, Japan and elsewhere. Does the Irish state have the political will and the financial ability to expand the national fishing fleet so that it can compete for diminishing marine food resources with the big fishing nations?
The point is that the Irish government should control these 'rights'. In doing so, your point about Ireland having the money to support a large fishing fleet is moot because the Irish government would decide on charges and taxes, where the countries with large fleets could fish but with a share of the profits going to the Irish people. Right now the EU is already implying that they hold this right legally and taking this control of our waters back will prove increasingly difficult through the passage of time
