Dublin - Event Notice Thursday January 01 1970 Picket : CRH (formerly, Cement Roadstone Holdings), 42 Fitzwilliam Sq, 12 noon to 6PM![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() " If even one shovel of partially Irish-owned cement is going into the Wall, it has to stop" Now that IDB Holding Corp through its Clal Industries unit, Mashav, an Israeli holding company for Nesher Cement, in which Irish building material group CRH has a 25% stake is acquiring Israel's second largest building materials company; Hanson Israel, it's clear CRH are getting big in that rogue state and deeper in its complicity in the construction of the illegal Apartheid Wall: Amnesty International, "C.R.H., through its subsidiaries Mashav and Nesher is likely to be providing the raw material of the fence/wall...if so, it would contravene the U.N. norms on the responsibilities of Transnational Corp. CRH can no longer find refuge in prevarication and obfuscation as it did in 2004 when human rights activist Caoimhe Butterly shamed and outed them with her two week hunger strike/fast outside their HQ in Dublin's Fitzwilliam Square: “C.R.H. have not yet clarified their position, but continue to engage in semantics and word-play. Whether or not Nesher cannot refuse to sell cement for the construction of the Wall is not the issue. The issue is that C.R.H. continues to invest in Nesher in the light of their facilitation, through supplying one of the raw materials, of the construction of the Apartheid Wall. The arguments of C.R.H., that Israel also imports cement from other countries, too, is irrelevant. The point is that C.R.H. has a huge share, in multinational terms, 25%, in Nesher. If even one shovel of partially Irish-owned cement is going into the Wall, it has to stop. It is outrageous that while our Government condemns the Wall, an Irish company profits from it. The only moral option is for C.R.H. to divest their shares immediately.” (Related Link). |

Great work with the protest, but the main HQ for CRH is on the Belgard Road in Tallaght.

Thanks, Ronan, at least the Chairman Secretary is there - as the die is cast, the picket will proceed as arranged.
