Terrible things can happen due to careless driving, speeding and intoxication though drink and drugs, as we saw this weekend when this 4x4 went off the road, killing all the occupants. Shame.
I think this is a very worthwhile campaign , especially young people addressing the issue themselves, peer inflence works best.
Also I hardly think this is candidate building, merely someone acting as a spokesperson, young people need to have their voices heard as well.
And it is not a singular spokesperson, Ógra use a multitude of spokesperson's. Even the video has a number of different youth activists speaking.
Good to see ÓSF, and i think if you had watched the video Frank, or seen other ogra press statements you would see that they do use alot more spokespersons.
Hope your actions on this issue can have a good impact.
very worthwhile campaign but why yet again do we see youth wings havin these individual spokes people. at this stage building comradeship, education etc should be to the for front not building up profiles of personalities. theres enough of that at 'adult' level. thats the poblem with a lot of left parties particularly sinn fein. no offence t the lad himself.
For safety's sake, it's worthwhile, & staying below 60mph/95kph will help the budget too. Speed-limits on many Irish roads are way too high for the road-condtion, even in good, clear weather!
