There are 50 million blind people in the world of which 90% live in developing countries.
80% of all blindness is avoidable. Eamon O Donoghue, an Ophthalmologist based in Galway, arrived in Venezuela in 2007 to work on this preventable disability. The documentary was screened to a full house at The Cork Film Festival 2007 and recently at The Dublin Film Festival. Both the Director and the central participant will be present to introduce the documentary and lead a discussion after its screening.

They received assistance from the NGO Enda Bolivia. The Director has been invited to the projection.
