activists leaflet crowds at GPO in Dublin Activists from Leinster Ógra Shinn Féin showed their commitment to the Shell to Sea campaign by leafleting the crowds in O'Connell Street at lunchtime today. ÓSF groups from the country have been raising the issue of the giveaway of the country's natural resources, the health and safety crisis in Erris, and the appalling treatment of protesters against the Shell/Govt scheme from the jailing of the Rossport Five in 2005 to the latest court case where three innocent fishermen were given prison sentences on the say-so of Gardaí. ÓSF will continue to support the Shell the Sea campaign, with trips to Mayo planned as well as activities in Dublin and around the country. |
