Keir Starmer says he will never withdraw from the ECHR because there is "no need" and Rishi Sunak did not disagree, despite it being the reason he failed to stop the boats. Nigel Farage says it's time to ask the people.

A Swiss girl has been been taken into care because her parents stopped her taking puberty blockers, breaching a ban on conversion therapy. Is this what Labour means by a "full, trans-inclusive ban on conversion practices"?

Hideous vast development on Kilmardinny/Super Valu site, Santry to be vigorously resisted by locals

category dublin | environment | opinion/analysis author Saturday June 23, 2007 20:00author by Dublin 9 Report this post to the editors

The battle has only begun

This is very serious and something has to be done about this hideous proposed Planning Application on the grounds of the Kilmardinny and Super Valu on Lorcan Avenue in Santry. Many of these apartments that they want to build are 6 storeys high in an area which has always been a 2 storey area. Naturally the residents of the area, especially those most effected by this proposed development, those on Lorcan Avenue and Lorcan Grove are vehemently opposed to this on a number of grounds; including; but not limited to; increased traffic, noise and pollution, reduced water pressure, loss of light and lack of privacy, and are preparing to fight this very strongly. Now this particular version of this Planning Application has been declared invalid, but from all the information available, they are going to reapply again very soon with the exact same plans. Click on the link below and read the full information on this Planning Application below as well and see for yourself the huge size of this.
