Deluge The Minister !

shell to sea

wish to express our views regarding the current Corrib Gas Project. I want everyone with a view on the matter to write a brief note to The Minister for Marine and Natural Resources, Dail Eireann, and for the letter to arrive on the 29th of June, 2007

Message to Shell 2 Sea, help us Deluge the minister. !

I need your help to show the new government that we, the people of Ireland, wish to express our views regarding the current Corrib Gas Project. I want everyone with a view on the matter to write a brief note to The Minister for Marine and Natural Resources, Dail Eireann, and for the letter to arrive on the 29th of June, 2007, on the anniversary of the unjust jailing of the Rossport Five. It is important that every one participates because it is important that the new government, who ever they are to be, are keenly aware of the massive size of the problem and the extraordinary amount of people who want to put across their view, which has been ignored to date.

Some points might be :

Those that are busy etc., could simply mail an empty envelope which will indicate the current benefit to the people of Ireland of this project as currently proposed.

Those with time and perhaps a few euros to spare could mail an empty box, no doubt it will occupy a lot of space some-where, as a large volume of mail will put across a peaceful message.

Those on holidays could perhaps mail a postcard with a photo of the sea, saying wish you were here.

Those abroad, relations away etc., could also join in to show how many people have a view on the project as it currently stands.

So come on everyone, lets deluge the Minister on the 29th of June next.

THE ESKIMO.

Good, simple idea, anyone can join in , but very important that a large volume of mail gets delivered !

Hi paul !

Well said .

I share your anger , your despair , your disgust and your frustration over those and other "endless" issues .

As a favourite author of mine once put it -

" It often happens that the real tragedies of life occur in such an inarticulate manner that they hurt one by their crude violence , their absolute incoherence , their absurd want of meaning , their entire lack of style. "

Whatever else happens you , Paul , I hope you keep that spirit .

Sharon .

The new minister could put all the post in the 'hole in the ground' (as Minister Dempsy described the Henge Site at Lismullen, the greatest archaelogical find in Europe for decades) beside Tara. And then 'preserve it for the record' (which means to take pictures) as he intends to do before builds his road, over the land his friends purchased 12 years ago.

How about a mass card in the post to the new minister, a get welll card for the historical past of the people of this forsaken island?

Nothing is of value to this government, nothing. The natural beauty of Bellnaboy or the saftey of its residents with un-stable high pressure gas lines passing 1 mtr below ground, the gas giveaway to Shell, historical sites, .....feel free to add...the list is endless
