Arthur Morgan, Sinn Fein T.D. for Louth has just confirmed on Today FM that Sinn Fein has abandoned its policy of increasing Capital Gains Tax to 40% Following quickly on the dumping of proposals to increasing corporation tax to 17.5% and the introduction of a new tax rate of 50% for incomes over €100,000, Sinn Fein TD, Arthur Morgan has announced that Sinn Fein will not now propose to increase Capital Gains Tax from 20% to 40%. Morgan, during the course of a debate with John O'Mahony of the P.D.'s on Today FM, confirmed that Sinn Fein will not seek to increase any taxes following the election. O'Mahoney congratualted Arthur Morgan and Sinn Fein for adopting policies advocated by the P.D.'s that have led to the phenomenal economic progress in Ireland over the past ten years! |
