MA IN PUBLIC CULTURE STUDIES
For those interested in hard-core critical training and in issues around dissent, public/private, culture and public life, citizenship, the mechanisms of governments, globalisation, the media and broadcasting, the arts and the public realm, and cultural identities in Ireland and internationally.

Core Critical and Cultural Theory,
Writing as Public Action,
Dissent Studies,
Cultural Policies and Practices, Public Space, Popular Cultures, Activism, the Arts,
Cultural Identities, Race/Alterity, Age, Gender, Class.
Public Institutions
The course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to advance to doctoral studies, to engage in public activism and citizenship, and to enhance career opportunities in the public realm, the arts, the media and other professional fields.
