Dublin justice for Jamal event

Fred Hampton Junior, son of the legendary Black Panther chairman, will address the Dublin premiere of IN PRISON MY WHOLE LIFE, a film about the life and miscarriage of justice against Mumia Abu Jamal. He will be joined on the platform by family members of Terence Wheelock who died in police custody two years ago.

WHEELOCK FAMILY TO SPEAK ALONGSIDE FORMER BLACK PANTHERS
Wednesday 11 April 7pm in ATGWU Hall, 55-57 Middle Abbey St, Dublin 1

Fred Hampton Junior, son of the legendary Black Panther chairman, will address the Dublin premiere of IN PRISON MY WHOLE LIFE, a film about the life and miscarriage of justice against Mumia Abu Jamal. He will be joined on the platform by family members of Terence Wheelock who died in police custody two years ago.

Mumia Abu-Jamal, a former Black Panther member whose death sentence for killing a police officer was overturned in 2001 due to errors made during his original 1982 sentencing hearing.

This new film to be screened a t the Cannes Film Festival features Abu Jamal, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky and Alice Walker.

Other speakers at the event include

Noelle Hanrahan award winning investigative journalist and director of Prison Radio.

Pam Africa, campaigner against the death penalty and leader of the struggle to get justice for JAMAL

Carlos Africa, jailed for fourteen years as a political prisoner due to his membership of the Move organisation.
