Following its success in obtaining Arts Council Funding at the first time of asking in May, the Galway-based literary organisation Over The Edge has announced an exciting and packed programme of quality events featuring readings by established and emerging writers.
Those lined up to take part in Over The Edge readings between now and January 2007 include poets Medbh McGuckian, Todd Swift, Martina Evans, Robyn Rowland, Alan Jude Moore, Paul Perry, Marion Moynihan, & Joan McBreen; novelists Adrian White & John Throne; 2006 Cúirt Poetry Grand Slam Winner, Brendan Murphy; and Irish language poet Niamh Ni Lochlainn.
Over The Edge will continue its support for emerging writers, which has been its raison d’etre from the very beginning. The next few months will see talented newcomers, such as Hugh Doyle, Elaine Feeney, Cate Huguelet, Mary Mullen, Fiona Clare & Miceál Kearney, make their debuts alongside some of the best established writers from Ireland, Britain, Australia & Canada.
The readings take place in Galway City Library and at Sheridan, Wine Bar, Galway.
Over The Edge acknowledges the financial support of Galway City Council, Poetry Ireland & the Arts Council.
