And I have found a cheaper way to do it, pick up a second hand webcam, most ISP’s out there give free server space so they can throw their site up on that.
Which means enough change out of the €30 to by biscuits to go along with the Boston tea party.
I check out Fingal's webcasts just now. Very impressive but it takes a lot more than a camera and mic to do.
All councils should broadcast via the web.
"Westport Town Council has agreed to examine the possibility of broadcasting its council meetings via the internet. The web casting of the meetings was proposed by Labour councillor Keith Martin at the April meeting of the council and was seconded by Cllr Peter Flynn."
Let me save you loads of effort and the taxpayer loads of money.
We have the technology.
It can be done.
Of course doing it and talking about doing it is another thing.
All ya need is a webcam and a mic and some software which can be gotten for free. It's called............well that would take all the effort out of it for you wouldn't it.
It's not all that big a deal - this web broadcast stuff.
I'd say a budget of around €30 should be more than adequate.
