Na Gaeil Óga ag Fás go Rábach
I bhfianaise a fheabhas is a d’éirigh le hiarrachtaí le cumainn Na Gaeil Óga a bhunú i nGaillimh agus i gCorcaigh le gairid agus leis an gComhdháil Óige a eagraíodh i gColáiste na Tríonóide i mBaile Átha Cliath le déanaí, tá Na Gaeil Óga chun díriú ar an Tuaisceart anois. Beidh ionadaithe leis Na Gaeil Óga ag taisteal timpeall scoileanna i mBéal Feirste a bhfuil spéis sa Ghaeilge acu chun daoine óga na cathrach a spreagadh i dtreo na Gaeilge.

Féachann daoine sa deisceart ar Ghaeilgeoirí an Tuaiscirt mar ghníomhairí teanga a rinne tréan oibre chun an Ghaeilge a athbheochan ansin ó bhunú na chéad ghaelscoile sa Tuaisceart siar in 1971. Tá sé le feiceáil ar fhás na Gaelscolaíochta go bhfuil an t-uafás daoine óga ann ar spéis leo an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn ina gceantair féin, agus ar bhonn náisiúnta chomh maith. Táimid ag iarraidh múnla a thabhairt don fhuinneamh óg seo agus Gaeilgeoirí óga, as gach cúlra ó thaobh cine agus creidimh araon, a eagrú le gluaiseacht síochánta, eagraithe, aontaithe a chruthú.

Táimid ag iarraidh taispeáint do dhaoine óga gur féidir leo dul i bhfeidhm ar a gceantair féin agus ar an stát trí chéile ach gníomhú chuige sin le chéile. Léiríodh mí-shásamh ar na mallaibh faoi dhuine óg a phéinteáil mana faoin dá-theangachas ar shólann - b’fhearr linne an fuinneamh agus féinmhuiníneachas a léirigh an duine óg sin a úsáid chun feachtas dá-theangach a chur ar siúl i mBéal Feirste, nó níos fearr arís, chun tacú leis an bhfeachtas ar son Acht na Gaeilge a bheidh á sheoladh Dé Céadaoin. Beidh Na Gaeil Óga ag tacú leis an bhFeachtas seo ar bhonn náisiúnta ar an gcaoi chéanna is a thacaigh muid leis an bhfeachtas ar son Acht Teanga agus STÁDAS roimhe seo.

Smaoinigh an cumhacht stocaireachta a bheadh ag na mílte Gaeilgeoirí óga a bheadh eagraithe go straitéiseach dá mbeidís ábalta feidhmiú láithreach i gcoinne ionsaí ar an dteanga, nó níos fearr arís, dá mbeidís in ann feidhmiú go dearfach i bhfeachtas chun cearta teanga Gaeilgeoirí a chinntiú agus a shlánú.

Dar le hArdrúnaí Chonradh na Gaeilge, Julian de Spáinn, is ionann Na Gaeil Óga agus “Duracell na Gaeilge”. Tá fuinneamh, scileanna agus acmhainní teicneolaíochta, cumarsáide agus feachtasaíochta againn nach raibh ar fáil do Ghaeilgeoirí óga riamh roimhe seo.

Dar le Ciarán Mac Fhearghusa, Cathaoirleach Na Gaeil Óga, go bhfuil “an Ghaeilge ag éirí níos gnéasúla, spéisiúla agus spraoiúla toisc an borradh atá ag teacht ar shaol sóisialta phobal na Gaeilge. Is gá tógáil air seo trí daoine óga a chur ar an eolas mar gheall ar a gcearta teanga agus ar an óg-ghluaiseacht Ghaeilge, chun todhchaí na teanga a shlánú i measc an chéad ghlúin eile.”

Is óg-eagraíocht Na Gaeil Óga atá neamhspleách go polaitiúil, a fheidhmíonn chun nasc gníomhaíochta agus sóisialta a chruthú idir grúpaí óige a bhfuil spéis sa Ghaeilge acu.

Más spéis leat páirt a ghlacadh in obair Na Gaeil Óga i gCorcaigh, nó in aon áit eile sa tír, ní gá ach dul i dteagmháil leis Na Gaeil Óga ag +353 85 739 5580 nó ag
