Prof Norman Fenton and Dr Scott McLachlan were edited out of Channel 5's Lucy Letby documentary on Sunday night. Their crime? Expressing forbidden views online. It shows how pernicious cancel culture has become, says Dr Fenton.

will this copver leaflets as well? many groups have had problems having fines issued about leafletiing. labour , SF & Green councillors have been very helpful regarding this, in some cases getting the fines quashed.

HUGELY important that as many people as possible get to this.

In any fuctioning democracy the right to free speech, including the free right to put up posters (so long as they are taken down within a certain timeframe) must be upheld.

Democracy is being eroded in Ireland and right around the world. Ireland and the world much uphold democracy or we are all doomed.

Not a bad turnout of about 20 people attended the protest at City Hall this evening. Kinda dissapointing to see the absence of councillors who may have pledged to support the the protest other than Joan Collins (Ind).

What did transpire was the need to push the campaign up a notch or two. Allegedly Dublin City Council, or those with connections to, have been behind a number of 'illegal' postering actions promoting a certain ice skating venue in Dublin. These actions in the current climate of suppression of 'all' postering must present a problem to Dublin City Council.

What if people were to poster adjacent or indeed over these 'illegal' posters...

I wonder would legal action be taken...

And if so against whom?

For a site posing as a champion of free speech it is interesting how often my postings are deleted.

As I previously posted I support this campaign. In a free democratic society such a right to poster and leaflet must exist. Perhaps those of us who did not join the protest - which incidentlaly had not commenced when I arrived for our group meeting at 5.30pm - where simply waiting for Joan to actually move her motion in order to support it.

Hopefully Joan will be able to move her motion at the next meeting of the Council where I wll support it as I have done previously when similar were proposed.

Yet again Dermot complains about censorship on an article with only a few commnents - none of which have been hidden.
