The UK Covid Inquiry, at great expense, has issued recommendations on preparing for the 'next pandemic'. But there is still no call for research into the effectiveness of lockdowns, say Carl Heneghan and Tom Jefferson.

Prof Norman Fenton and Dr Scott McLachlan were edited out of Channel 5's Lucy Letby documentary on Sunday night. Their crime? Expressing forbidden views online. It shows how pernicious cancel culture has become, says Dr Fenton.

Justice Ireland "Anti Corruption" Meeting

category national | rights, freedoms and repression | event notice author Wednesday November 16, 2005 15:05author by FR Report this post to the editors

2pm at Mansion House

The Open public meeting will start at 2pm on Saturday 19th November at the Mansion House where the first Dail commenced. The meeting is being chaired by Frank McBrearty, Jnr. It has been organised by the people who were at the Donegal meeting, which was a huge success and where over 500 people turned up to vent their anger and frustration at the level of corruption in this country. The Donegal meeting highlighted the need for an Independent Garda Ombudsman. Justice Ireland is going to highlight the need for an Independent Garda Ombudsman in every large town and city across the country in meetings similar to Donegal and Dublin

The following Guest speakers will be in attendance in Dublin on the 19th Nov, Jim Higgins Fine Gael MEP the man who highlighted the McBrearty Case, Dan Boyle Green Party TD who spoke passionately at the Donegal meeting on why we need an Independent Garda Ombudsman, Joe Higgins SP TD who has made some fantastic speeches in Dail Eireann on corruption, Eamon McCann of the SWP and well known civil rights activist, Nicky Kelly, Labour Party county councilor and the first man to be given a presidential pardon for being wrongly convicted for the Sallins Mail Train robbery, Human rights activist Osgur Breatnach, framed by Gardai for the Sallins Mail Train robbery and who had both conviction and 12-year prison sentence quashed on appeal, Mary Lou McDonald Sinn Fein MEP, Aisling Reidy of the ICCL, Frank Connolly the first journalist who exposed the McBrearty case and is now the head of the Centre for Public Inquiry which is funded by the US Billionaire Buisness man Chuck Feeney, Paul Hill one of the Guildford 4 who was wrongly convicted for the Guildford pub bombings and spent 15 years in jail for something he did not commit. The guest speakers will speak first and after that the floor will be opened up to the public to tell their stories. We have invited Michael McDowell the Minister for injustice, Garda Commissioner Noel Conroy and Taoiseach Bertie Ahern TD to come along and address the people Ireland and to tell them why we are denied an Independent Garda Ombudsman with the same powers as Nuala O'Loan, as the Garda Commissioner has stated in correspondence with Frank McBrearty Jnr, he has no objection to an Independent Garda Ombudsman. If they turn up we will ask them why they continue to fudge the issues that are brought to their attention week in week out by the people of Ireland about the extent of corruption on this Island. We Justice Ireland are inviting Mr Justice Kevin Haugh, Mr Conor Brady and Ms Foley who are the members of the new Board set up by the Government to investigate complaints against the Gardai to attend our meeting in Dublin. We cast no aspersion whatsoever on their integrity. Our concerns are with the limitations of the remit given to them by the government which will in effect prevent them from doing their job properly, or at least as well as Nuala O'Loan can do hers. Should any/all attend they will get a deep insight into the corruption that exists and the need to address it by a fully independent and transparent body.

We Justice Ireland "Anti corruption" invite you the media to attend and to hear the level of corruption that exists in this little Island from the people who attend this meeting and the level of frustration that exists amongst the people of Ireland concerning corruption. Remember the words of Martin Luther King "An injustice any where is a threat to justice every where." So an injustice anywhere in Ireland is a threat to justice everywhere in Ireland. Thomas Jefferson said "We have the wolf by the ears and we can neither hold him, nor safely let him go. Justice is in one scale and self preservation in the other" Michael McDowell is the wolf and we Justice Ireland "Anti Corruption" have a hold of your ears Michael and we will not let them go until he accepts the truth about the level of corruption that has been brought to his attention and to the attention of this current government.

Yours Sincerely,
Frank McBrearty, Jnr
