two days ago. This comment is not directly related to the "cartoon war", but rather i want to ping how I announced and linked to the Iranian news agency on the "conference for rabidly anti-zionist people" which was followed by the Al Qods day Iranian rallies.

Since that conference former brickie Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has continued to ratchet up "anti-zionism" and thats the reason i've joined those opposed to Iran being allowed develop nuclear technology. {Any state which sponsers and incites street violence not only in its own territory but beyond in the name of insult by a European state demanding censorship which subsequently denies the Holocaust {in which millions of European citizens were denied their citizenship, educational qualifications, homes, jobs, put to enforced labour, tatooed, starved and subject to experimentation and then murdered systematically} in its _own press_ is not a state which may be allowed to screen a labour force (unionised or not) to work in, build, maintain, or secure a nuclear facility for the simple reason that : a state which censors foreign media & internet is responsible alone for the conditioning of hatred, prejudice and xenophobia amongst its own population or labour-force}

Now here on this thread, I want to explore contemporary Iranian anti-zionism and to point out that it has as much to do with offending Europeans as Jews. Two weeks ago Ahmadinejad speaking on the elections in the Palestinian Authority declared that "if Europe were to open her doors, no jew would be left in Israel". Meanwhile, the wise and prudent amongst us, have suggested substitution "israeli state" for "Zionist entity" in a fudge which would allow hamas talk to the other side of their apartheid realpolitik.

I want to now call a bluff.

The majority of victims of the Holocaust never left Europe, leaving aside the millions who died, who may conveniently be labelled "jewish" or "gay" or "mason" and noting that we never say "oh well that murdered victim was a gay, communist jew with slavic nationality" the majority of Shoah survivors remained in Europe or went to the Americas.
40% of survivors who went to the israeli state and are still alive live in poverty, close to the bottom of the apartheid heap. The israeli state for the last 10 years has been dominated by a sector of that society which was born in the levant. Certainly were europe to offer full redress and compensation for the Holocaust, noting that Austria still hasn't paid its compensation claims, it is "hypothetical" that some would return to their continent, to their homes. But as anyone familiar with the typical post IDF stint of obligatory service year on drugs in London phenomona, many of them would have "a lot of attitude". It might be better for the iranians and those they try (badly )to speak for to consider the "real-politik" that several million israeli citizens in the israeli state is actually better news for their neighbouring muslims than in the EU with even greater chips on their shoulders.

The israeli state which comprises the aparthied entity of israel proper and the occupied territories is ethnically only barely above 50% "european". 40% are "arabic" regardless of faith.
