Day-to-day weather, with all its extremes, is "just weather", according to the IPCC. With their authority onside, we can shrug off the BBC's melodramatic climate reports and misinformation, says Mark Ellse.

Birmingham 29 years later, still has a terror threat to the UK story to tell...

The emergency has reached Birmingham, the second most populous conurbation of england, the most complex motorised transport interchange of the island of britain.

On the 9th of July 2005, the city centre of birmingham was evacuated and pub, club and restaurant owners to be responsible for their staff to search premises and all entrants / clients / customers / regulars / diners / have a good timers / civilians / people with jobs related to the postal service or major trade unions entering.

Birmingham and surrounding urban areas have a population of many millions and routinely sees many languages spoken both on the street and on the telephone. Visitors think its ugly. The natives and newly arrived "brummies" (as migrants are termed) are particularly proud of the place and think it ought be seen as second only to manchester and newcastle for a good right down chap and gal party place.

Birmingham suffered a terrorist attack in 1974 which saw a lot of Irish people locked up for a crime they didn't do, and we all saw a movie about it, or at least a movie on the general vibe. Like it's not like you can make a movie about everything - is it?
You'd have to include movies about 1976. Oh that was a year...
saw lots people in europe accused of everything, for all the right and left reasons.

making movies is very difficult.
you can't get the ambulance crews to seem realistic.
Anyway,

Don't jump to conclusions.
your 911 fiends, alq usual suspects with the brand, basques who spoilt the election, sinners who did that.... masonic conspiracy, jewish conspiracy, vatican conspiracy, next door neighbour "didn't shut down brummie".

NO-ONE SHUTS DOWN BRUMMIE!

"we are all brummies"

all roads lead to brummie.
except of course a marginal few - - - - - - - very small percentage indeed.

"Earlier today, the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, promised that his government will act with caution in the wake of the bombings and will not introduce authoritarian laws in response to them.

In a BBC Radio interview, Mr Blair also said the world would have to deal with the underlying causes of terrorism and that security alone could not provide complete protection."

At 0500 BST on Sunday bomb disposal experts declared that a suspect package at the Travelodge hotel on Broad Street was not a "credible device".

Police carried out four controlled explosions on a bus in Corporation Street, in the city centre.

The areas cordoned off included the Broad Street entertainment district and the city's Chinese quarter which are crowded with bars, theatres, restaurants, flats and hotels.

20,000 people were effected. Police appealed for "stragglers" to go home and assist them in the evacuation but many *didn't*.

"The threat that we responded to was very specific,"
"It was specific about the time and also the locations." it was a credible threat", West Midlands Chief Constable Paul Scott Lee.

Several hundred who could not make it home were housed in Aston University for the night.

coz it doesn't work that way.

Today Police in Leeds northern england have carried out a controlled explosion.
"yet to confirm the nature of the threat".
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4674463.stm

Meanwhile the police in yorkshire moved on from their controlled explosion the other day to swoop! on the muslim communties of west yorkshire.

Today a "coffeepot bomb" exploded in the doorway to the italian institute in Barcelona killing a police dog and injuring a member of the bomb squad. the coffeepot is thought to mean something. Mr Lavazza's fans. thus though "police though not confirming the threat" people say, oh its them, the antisystem italian anarkrusts.

And then just to show us how expert they are, ETA attacked one of the primary electricity supply stations in the basque region with four bombs, no injuries, lots of warnings in the accepted places with the right code words.
(both incidents in catalonia & basque in english here-)

some would call these "copy cat" actions.
and others would call it "hey look this is how you do it"
others would correctly see this as the ripple effects of modern imitative terrorism in the XXI century.
Others will see no connection between these events and still focus on counting car bomb attempts in Bagdhad.

"20,000 people were effected. Police appealed for "stragglers" to go home and assist them in the evacuation but many *didn't*."

Is this an endorsement that people should NOT help the police?
