IRA admit murder of child

category international | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Sunday June 26, 2005 00:43author by Saoirse in America Report this post to the editors

Insincere admission ends notorious piece of propaganda

Sinn Fein/IRA have admitted that it shot dead a teenage schoolgirl in Derry 32 years ago and blamed it on the British Army.
The admission puts to an end one of the most notorious pieces of Republican propaganda promoted over the past three decades - the the "Brits" murdered a "wee girl" on her way to the shops to buy milk for her mammy. The admission is the harbinger of Sinn Fein/IRA withdrawal from criminal behaviour, it is shoped.

The terrorist group said yesterday said it was responsible for the death of 14-year-old Kathleen Feeney near her home in Northern Ireland. At the time of her murder, they had claimed that a British soldier had killed her.

The girl's death took place when an IRA terrorist opened fire on a British Army patrol in near her home on November 14, 1973.

The British Army said that the IRA was responsible and that none of its soldiers had returned fire. However, the Sinn Fein/IRA agitprop machine worked overtime to put about the story that the "Brits" murdered Kathleen, just like they claimed that Jean McConville was an informer for the British Army, and deserved to be murdered for this, rather than the fact that they couldn't stomach a monther's empathy for an injured British solider shot by terrorists.

Last year, the girl's family called on Sinn Fein/IRA to publicly acknowledge they had killed Kathleen. Commentators now say that the confession is the latest in a series of attempts paving the way for an announcement during the coming months that Sinn Fein/IRA will end criminal activity and concentrate on liberal-democratic politics only. However, the blood of Irish childrena and weapons will not be so easily dismissed in a country that forgets nothing and forgives less.

Ah yes, Barry - the resident RSF cheeleading freelance republican intellectual to rescue of the chuckee brigade again. The evening's entertainment is complete.

Barry, you're a fellow-traveller of terrorists. And I don't think you've ever quite got over those the Nazis losing the war either. Please, please, get some help.

.. the IRA:

Republicans, like Barry, those who inflicted most pain and grief, never shut up about their own victims and expect everyone else to move on. Well, as Sinn Fein/IRA drone on about Bloody Sunday and alleged collusion over Pat Finucane and Rosemary Nelson and so on and on, could we just remind them of a few events that occurred under the leadership of Adams and McGuinness?

There was Bloody Friday in 1972 (10 dead in Belfast), 1974 (21 dead in Birmingham), 1978 (12 dog-breeders burned to death at a dinner dance in Castlereagh), 1987 (11 dead in Enniskillen), 1990 (a catering worker, Patsy Gillespie, had his family kidnapped, was forced to become a 'human bomb' and was blown to bits along with five soldiers), 1992 (8 Protestant building workers dead in Teebane - an atrocity explained by Adams as "a horrific reminder of the failure of British policy in Ireland"), 1993 (11 dead in a Shankill Road fish shop), 1996 (two newsagents killed at Canary Wharf), 1997 (two community policemen shot dead).

I think 'Saoirse in America' should tend to her own backyard and worry about how many kids her president is killing and mutilating over in Iraq, and besides I do believe she has initially confused Kathleen Feeney, God rest her soul, with Julie Livingstone, 14, from west Belfast, who WAS killed with a plastic bullet to the head in 1981 fired by a brit soldier who was NEVER charged or prosecuted for her death.

barry,
How in gods name does any killing by another party justify killing an innocent child? Was this an 'officially sanctioned action'? Where these soldiers of Ireland on 'active duty'? Spare me the outrage at other killings. Murder is murder, regardless of who does it.
And before you ask, yes its murder if a guard kills an innocent child. As I said, murder is murder.
This just sums up the various parties in the north, they started it, no they did, no they did. Innocent is innocent regardless of religion.

Not if you're a Muslim. Then the US Army can torture and kill you with impunity. I believe they no longer call it murder. It has been redefined as fighting the "war against terror".

we need a truth and reconciliation commission, it would put to rest all this bitching about murders and atrocities and the people on all sides involved in the killing could come clean about what they did or did'nt do. In South Africa you were immune from prosecution as long as you came clean about everything.
