The delusional EU believes it can wield carbon tariffs as weapons. But its grandiloquent Net Zero scheme is destined to collapse under the weight of the bloc's utter economic irrelevance, says Tilak Doshi.

The Right has spent much of the last decade railing against cancel culture, and was arguably winning the debate. It would be a mistake to abandon that position now.

Not the Northern Bank money.......shhhhh!

category national | crime and justice | news report author Tuesday March 01, 2005 01:34author by news watcher Report this post to the editors

not so quick

Why haven't any single dublin media outlet not to reported on this news.

"The police at first suggested that some of the money had come from the Northern Bank, but all the cash seized is now known to have been used in legitimate transactions"

The Economist, pg 33, Feb 26th 2005.

Bearing in mind that the "discovery" of the bank notes and the arrest of former SF councillor Tom Hanlon which in the eyes of the public firmly linked SF with this criminal act, should we be surprised that the media has decided not to report what the truth may be.

I believe three Syrians are currently on the IRA army council.

Maybe the Syrians did the bank job. They're being blamed for bombing Hariri, bombing Tel Aviv, sheltering "terrorists", even handing over Saddams half brother didnt do them any good.

So why not blame them for the Belfast bank robbery as well? It would give Blair & Clarke an excuse for supporting Israeli/US bombing of Damascus.

Pat, maybe they're right. We should get all catholics and other minorities to just bow down to discrimination. That way the unionist community wont have their sensibilities upset, and then we can get class unity. Absolute genius, give that person a Nobel prize or something.

Who is going to believe that last comment was by an SP member? You forgot to mention workers in uniform or to say you were from the Londerry SP branch. Get a life or at least improve your satirical skills.

...and tantamount to incitement to hatred. The RUC were comprised of members of the protestant working class, any attack on them from provo supporting thugs only engrains sectarianism further. The way to workers unity is not to criticise anyone in away that might upset loyalist sensibilities.

About as impartial as the RUC!!!!!!!!!!!!
