The Irish unemployment rate, at 4.2%, is currently lower than in the US for the first time ever. More young Irish people than ever currently go to the US on holidays or shopping expeditions.

With the exchange rate the way it is, it's hardly surprising there's a low uptake. You can make more money in Ireland.
so you can pay double or triple the prices for living in DEAR old Ireland. And get a quater less choice in products or services than you can for the same money in the USA.
its actually better exchnge rate in Canada, where a lot are choosing this year. And you don't have to give biometric information and have a tattoo on your forehead or have some nice american lady poking her finger up ur jaxy ala Abu Ghraib.
And if you stay in this country you have less chance of being drafted and being expected to kill and possibly be killed. Even if you are not drafted you still run a greater risk of violent death.
