Party when Thatcher Dies

Party Trafalgar Square - When Thatcher Dies!
Class War, 05.10.2004 21:06

We all know it can't be long now - and when Margaret Thatcher dies its party time!

On the first Saturday after Margaret Thatcher dies, Class War is calling a mass party to start at 6pm, in Trafalgar Square, scene of the most famous riot against her policies!

Whether or not you want to remenicse about the good old days of rioting against the poll tax, to toast old friends who fought Thatcherism, or just want to celebrate the death of the most reviled woman in Britain, we hope to see you there.

Bring your champagne, fireworks, party clothes and yourselves!

Promotional posters and stickers for this event will be available from London Class War.

Noel gets it right yet again. the good people of Russia will no doubt be plunged into despair when the more intelligent of the two defenders of the free world croaks it after an unfortunately delayed end.
access to mc donalds, the opportunity to buy an English football team through honest toil truly mammoth achievements. just a pity about the elderly freezing to death but its worth it if everyone can be a millionaire.
one assumes Noel will be moving to the new utopia and we can look forward to some righteous right wing Cyrillic postings
in relation to thatcher I personally would like her to hang on for a while as it truly is rewarding to watch her descend in total madness

One would have thought we'd have moved on past this "Mrs Thatcher is a Cunt" Ben Eltonisms of the mid-1980's. I have news for our London friends - when Lady T. pops her clogs she will be accorded a state funeral and I for one will be paying my respects. She is to be commended for MANY things:

* SMASHING the red robbos, scargills and magaheys of British Trade Unionism
* Putting Trade Unions where they belonged for once and for all (THEY WILL NEVER BE BACK), so they could no longer hold the country to ransom.
* Reclaiming the Falklands from the tinpot dictatorship in Argentina
* Standing up to the provo bellyachers in the Maze during the hunger strike, and last, but not least,
* giving us the delightful expression "handbagged".

Well done ma'am.

Due to the threatened departure of John from the site, the indymedia editors are taking emergency action. We have abandoned all of our open-publishing principles and are employing a special team of consultants from Anderson's to work out how we can bring editorial policy into line with John's opinions. We will keep you all updated.

Reading yet more of this kind of crap has induced me to abandon this site altogeather. It's a waste of time. Between infantile shit like the above and postings from the like of the 32 County sovereignty Movement (this is the same John that was posting on that thread) I just couldn't be bothered.

If the editors here wish to provide a forum for teenage vandals (so called "street art") the likes of the 32CSM (basically, murderous scumbags), moronic dour old crusties still pining for a 19th centuary workers' paradise and the vindictive, childish, tasteless crap like the above then they can do so with my presence or contribution.

I'd find better written, more reasoned debate in the pages of the Irish Sun. What a waste.

the Lahndiners and their countryfolk the greater engurlish are different to us.
We of Erron have a greater right to dance on her hypothetical grave, yet the idea turns us right off our true democratic participation equal income anarchistic world vision.
The differences are many, and important.
We know what a TAZ is, wheras they think it's free party. We know skateborders are evil, they think they're dish. We know Cromwell was a right fucker, they still talk about rumping parliament.

and if we didn't have our own indymedia space, their editors would have editered us for being extremist and obsessed with monotheistic doctrinal differences.

This is a good barometer of your bankrupt idealology, party when an old lady dies - l bet if you got to tell her your plans in person she'd laugh at you. Im not a huge fan of hers but she is obviously twice the man you are/

This is a bit sad really. Thatcher is no longer in power. Why would anyone want to celebrate her death? I doubt that she would be throwing a party if Scargill or Adams died. Indeed I very much doubt if either Scargill or Adams will be partying when the good woman kicks the bucket. Strange too that the anrachist heralds of a new world in which everyone will be happy and nice to each other should engage in such medievalism. Actually it;s not a bit strange to me at all.

I saw a newspaper picture from the political campaign
A woman was kissing a child, who was obviously in pain
She spills with compassion, as that young child's
Face in her hands she grips
Can you imagine all that greed and avarice
Coming down on that child's lips

Well i hope i don't die too soon
I pray the lord my soul to save
Oh i'll be a good boy, i'm trying so hard to behave
Because there's one thing i know, i'd like to live
Long enough to savour
That's when they finally put you in the ground
I'll stand on your grave and tramp the dirt down

When england was the whore of the world
Margaret was her madam
And the future looked as bright and as clear as
The black tarmacadam
Well i hope that she sleeps well at night, isn't
Haunted by every tiny detail
'cos when she held that lovely face in her hands
All she thought of was betrayal

And now the cynical ones say that it all ends the same in the long run
Try telling that to the desperate father who just squeezed the life from his only son
And how it's only voices in your head and dreams you never dreamt
Try telling him the subtle difference between justice and contempt
Try telling me she isn't angry with this pitiful discontent
When they flaunt it in your face as you line up for punishment
And then expect you to say "thank you" straighten up, look proud and pleased
Because you've only got the symptoms, you haven't got the whole disease
Just like a schoolboy, whose head's like a tin-can
Filled up with dreams then poured down the drain
Try telling that to the boys on both sides, being blown to bits or beaten and maimed
Who takes all the glory and none of the shame

Well i hope you live long now, i pray the lord your soul to keep
I think i'll be going before we fold our arms and start to weep
I never thought for a moment that human life could be so cheap
'cos when they finally put you in the ground
They'll stand there laughing and tramp the dirt down

Thatcher's economic policies having been adopted by both british and irish formerly left-of centre parties and her own statement to the effect that her greatest achievement was "new labour" (who aren't going anywhere soon) one would have to ask what exactly you are celebrating.
