Nordrheinwestfalen,
Germany on Sunday 26 September

Socialist Alternative, sister party of Socialist Party in Germany wins two council seats


Local elections took place in the regional state of
Nordrheinwestfalen,
Germany on Sunday 26 September.

Socialist Alternative initiated two slates against social cuts for
these elections in Aachen and Cologne. In both cities, socialist alternative members headed the lists.


The slates won acouncil seat in each city which puts the total number of socialist alternative councillors in Germany up to three. This is an extremely important
achievement given the political developments and the increased hatred
against the political establishment in Germany.
