The Guardian's claim that the story of Bush's grandfather has just come to light is not credible.

German industrialist Fritz Thyssen had financed the Nazis but broke with them after the pograms against the Jews.

The article below concludes with the line:'So, did Bush and his firm finance the Nazis and enable Germany to rearm? Indirectly, yes. But they had a lot of company. Some of the most distinguished names in American business had investments or subsidiaries in prewar Germany, including Standard Oil and General Motors. Critics have argued for years that without U.S. money, the Nazis could never have waged war. But American business has always invested in totalitarian regimes--witness our dealings with mainland China.'

Shure this is as old as bloody tay .... and it hasn't just been circulating "on the internet" ....

The recently deceased maverick academic and author, Antony Sutton (+ 2002), British born and formerly attached to Hoover Institution in the USA, published two volumes entitled:

WALL STREET AND THE RISE OF HITLER

These volumes document how Wall Street financial oligarchs (who included Grand pa Bush) played a key role in financing both the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia AND the National Socialist Revolution in Germany.

Before anyone discounts this as whacko "conspiracy theory" nonsense, obtain and read a copy of Sutton's books. In particular study his explanations on the use of the Hegelian dialectic by these oligarchs.

It follws a pattern identified by Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University (Bill Clinton's mentor) in his "Tragedy and Hope" where he writes about Wall Street infiltrating and manipulating radical movements in the USA:
"To [J.P.] Morgan all political parties were simply organizations to be used, and the firm always was careful to keep a foot in all camps. Morgan himself, Dwight Morrow, and other partners were allied with Republicans; Russell C. Leffingwell was allied with the Democrats; Grayson Murphy was allied with the extreme Right; and Thomas W. Lamont was allied with the Left . . ."

Sutton's later work concentrates on "the Order", the name he adopted for "America's Secret Establishment" (the secret nwtwork of power comprising societies like the Skull and Bones etc.)

So this amazing piece of "news" merely confirms what non-court historians like Sutton first committed to PAPER (i.e. pre-Internet) around THIRTY YEARS AGO ....

This is an important example where a story which has been circulated and repeated many times since the internet "went citizen" has increasingly been verified by proper journalistic and historical sources.

Apart from a brief mention in the opening chapters of "Stupid White Men" by Michael Moore, the "US republican side" of hitler supporters has not been given the mass consumption treatment. Michael Moore sourced-

The parallel relationship between Joe Kennedy (Democrat Party) and the Nazi regime inspired one popular *"what if"* trashy novel, where an alternative history was imagined, one where Europe was consolidated under Berlin "from the Atlantic to the Urals" and the Russian front continued in slow atritition to the 1960s, at which stage Joe Kennedy (JFK's dad) has achieved the White House (He had been US ambassador to London during the reich) and is engaged in talks with an ageing hitler to finally end the bolshevik threat, the "hero" of the book races to release definitive proof of the holocaust to the kindly old american and thus end the decades old belief that "all the jews and others moved out east and were given a homeland", which he manages to do in the nick of time...

We are slowly learning what happened before the war, and what occured after the war. The previous fifty years have seen us in "western Europe" brainwashed with the allied victory in the military conflicts, yet remarkably reticent about "collusion", about the relationship between (for example) the Vatican and the nazis, De Valera and the nazis, the British royal family (ex Edward viiii) and the nazis, the French (vichy) and the nazis, Franco and the nazis, half of the South American dictatorships and the nazis, the Kennedy family and the nazis, and of course the Bush family and the nazis.
