YEPP are the largest youth political organisation in Europe with over 3,000,000 members. But because they don't start tiots march behind balaclavas orsend parcel bombs, this event will get no coverage.

only 3,000,000?
smaller than the combined youth sections of the ECTU.

It'll get you in the news I suppose. You could riot against the decline in prices of eircom shares or something like that.

An alternative theory about the lack of media coverage for such events is that it is caused by the fact that they are little more than a pantomime, where daddy's little boys and girls get to play pretend politics, make pompous speeches and get to feel important. It's just a dress rehearsal for future politicians. The policy motions and political discussions that come out of these seminars are pathethic. How many people do you think would be interested in reading that "A bunch of ambitious young priveleged careerists believe that the Atlantic alliance is an important element in securing Europe's future" - hold the fucking front pages.

You see, to actually take a position against the powerful and put it into action, you have to care about something. For that you need a principled bone in your body, something that you won't find at this seminar.
