So much for Labour's promise to "smash the gangs".

The Truth About Britain?s Wildfires Thu Aug 21, 2025 15:00 | Paul Homewood It is simplistic to blame the recent spike in wildfires on climate change, writes Paul Homewood. A more likely cause is the rewilding of uplands, supposedly to cut carbon emissions, and poor management of forested land.

Paging Gore Vidal: Can we have that prize back please?

Yay! Picnic in the sunshine!
Reclaim The Streets with Food Not Bombs present:
SUNDAY SUBURBAN SUMMER PICNIC!
Frolickin all over the city... Sunday July 6th - meet @ 1pm, the Customs House
Yay! Summer is here at last. The weather is less grouchy than usual.. so to celebrate and to keep your insurrectionary spark alive, Reclaim The Streets in association with Food Not Bombs is organising a picnic in the suburbs.
Where? Where? Well, its all a secret. If we told you in advance, we might have to do nasty things to you. But if you come along at 1pm to Customs House Quay (right in front of the Customs House), and bring your friends, food, beer, wine, paint, musical instruments, footballs, games, cards, coolboxes, and whatever else you'd normally bring to a picnic, we promise you all will be revealed.
You'll also need a few yo-yo's in random change for the EXACT fare. This is important. The picnic is free but unfortunately getting there wont be!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont be late! We cant hang around all day at the Customs House. We've got places to go, things to do, streets and suburbs to reclaim.
So that's this Sunday, July 6th, at 1pm outside the Customs House.
Summer loving, happens so fast...

If there is a good turnout can we not just squat the public transport. ?
but yeah, sounds deadly and i hope to get there...
june 18 RTS london it was suggested and advertised that after the gig ran down at london wall and liffe building everyone would go to Waterloo and squat the 18h05 Eurostar to Paris. I went along with some friends and we said "we are here to goto Paris
{this is an action! this is an art-public-transport action! make way! make way!}
about fifteen minutes is along time in art action politics, one moment you look cool with all your little pals, next you are sitting in a little room being interviewed by British Transport police.
{oh how they loved that one, normally they only had to deal with someone going over their zone}
[and you speak French do you?](x6). {I could never figure out how speaking French was important but we all got interrogated and those who could speak French were released before those who couldn't}.
This idea has remained popular with the 15 minutes cool protester type ever since.
wasnt there a free party on the London metro?
Its about time another RCS event took place!
mmm, sambos in the streets!
I'm in work on Sunday, but i'll definetly call in sick 4 this one! Make it good! It won't be in Phoenix Park will it? What would we be reclaiming then. Another thing: More advertising is needed. I only bearly noticed a little sticker on a phone box today.
More RTS events are needed! Bring them on!
