We invite you to experience an evening of Palestinian food, film, music, poetry and prose, including a film screening of ‘When I Saw You’ by Annemarie Jacir, plus an exhibition of posters from the IPSC archive.

The evening runs from 6pm in The New Theatre/Connolly Books, 43 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. The film screening is at 8pm sharp. Entry is free, and all are welcome.

To mark UN International Day of Solidarity With The Palestinian People, we present a free evening dedicated to Palestinian culture at which you can sample the delicious delights of Palestinian food, while the notes of Palestinian music are played with traditional instruments.

The music will be interspersed with literary readings, featuring beautiful pieces by Palestinian poets and writers. There will also be an exhibition showcasing political posters from the archive of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

Finally, at 8pm there will be a screening of ‘When I Saw You’ – an award-winning drama film set in 1967 directed by Palestinian filmmaker Annemarie Jacir.

This is sure to be a truly magical and utterly unforgettable evening!

When: Sun, 29 November 2015, 18:00
Where: The New Theatre/Connolly Books, 43 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2
