Jump To Comment: 1 2We can completely discount what the US diplomatic mission in Quito said. It is quite likely that the CIA would not go for a direct assassination and more likely they could try to poison him or somehow make him terminally ill through cancer or something. There are a whole range of options they could just from arranging through inside people to contaminate his food with radioactive hot particles which he would then ingest or dangerous viruses or many other methods.
As many are probably aware president Hugo Chavez of Venezuela has cancer of the thigh / hip. It is extremely likely that this is a result of the work of the CIA and the way things are at the moment is that he is currently in a very serious condition in hospital in Cuba and may even die.
One should remember that the full resources of the US state are at the disposal of the CIA and this would include the intellect and capabilities from the national institutes of health, big pharma and army biological warfare division which would not just have biological weapons of mass destruction but concoctions of various types of lethal and fast and slow acting substances or agents that could be delivered to individual targets in the field.
For an example of how these things work take for instance this section of an interview in 2000 with John Judge ( http://www.ratical.org/ratville/JFK/JohnJudge/112600.html ) where he describes how the brother of George Bush, Neil -who has kept out of the limelight -paid a visit to Bob Marley and lo behold soon afterward he got cancer and died. To put this in context, Bob Marley at the time was raising "trouble" in Jamaica with his lyrics and people were beginning to wake up to the con going on around them.
.... Neil Bush was also sent into a strange situation that I discovered just in reading the Post and the New York Times as I used to. There was a point at which Michael Manley, who was the president in Jamaica, refused to take the International Monetary Fund loans that were being offered by the IMF because he understood the strings that came with them. Manley was deposed in a CIA-orchestrated coup by someone named Edward Siaga. When Siaga got in, he was CIA-backed and very reactionary, he had these criminal thugs that were helping support him and some of them were sent to a concert of the political reggae rock musician, Bob Marley. Siaga's goons shot Marley on the stage. They didn't succeed in killing him but they wounded him pretty severely.
He recuperated from the shooting up in this mountain retreat he had called `Sugarloaf'. There was a visit while he was recuperating by someone from Rolling Stone magazine to interview him. It came out later that Rolling Stone denied that they had sent anyone to interview him and it came out in the press that the person posing, as a Rolling Stone reporter was actually Neil Bush.
Ratcliffe:
Where was that reported?
Judge: They have a daily society and gossip column about celebrities, or people in the news, in the Washington Post. The Washington Post reported the story about Rolling Stone making this denial and that it was Neil Bush that actually did the visit. Neil Bush has no more business with reggae than the man and the moon. He doesn't have any interest in reggae music. He's the son of the former director of the CIA and the President of the United States sneaking into Bob Marley's house after the CIA has already tried to kill him.
Within a period after that, Bob Marley got cancer, supposedly got something in his toe and the next thing, he was dead of brain cancer. Mae Brussell was suspicious of the death. But yet another link of the family member -- as I said, was tight with Scott Hinkley -- right at the periphery of these assassinations.
Getting back to Ecuador people can find a bunch of articles at the link below on how the relationship with the USA has turned soured over the last while.

Bolivia has “concrete evidence” that the US is plotting to destabilize the Latin American nation, Minister Juan Ramon Quintana said. Proof of US “harassment” of the Bolivian government will be handed over to President Obama, he added.
The Bolivian government is “scrupulously following” US activity in Bolivia, Minister for the Bolivian Presidency Quintana said in a press conference
“There is so much evidence to hand over to the President of the USA to say to him: Stop harassing the Bolivian government, stop politically cornering and ambushing us!” Quintana stressed. He added that investigations into drug-trafficking and human rights abuses would reveal a “permanent battle” waged by the US to impede progress in Bolivia.
“In the offensive against the government there are no visible subjects… What we’re seeing are the political machinations of the US Embassy,” which seeks to damage the image of the Bolivian government, Quintana said.
