Labour's new National Curriculum is dripping with DEI and Left-wing dogma. Teaching Britain's national story is out, pushing more multiculturalism is in. It's the last thing Britain needs right now, says Dr Nicholas Tate.

The Sean South march is an awful sight. Republican Sinn Fein and Provisional Sinn Fein both have their own but meet at the same place. RSF leave earlier and then they trade insults as PSF approach the grave yard. This is all enjoyed by plain clothes pigs who watch over the proceedings.

Harks back to those darker days of Ireland during my childhood. Now is the time for unity in class struggle. A new front has opened up and the people are being screwed again.

I don't care for your sectarian politics!

......as your 'timing' is way off !

Hi 'Ex' !

Both organisations do indeed assemble  "at the same place"   - but not at the same time : when PSF are leaving Bedford Row (about 3pm) the RSF Commemoration , having started at 12.30pm , is over. I think you are confusing the source of the "insults" you mentioned ie they would be coming from the Special Branch men you referenced , rather than either of the above-mentioned two organisations.

I'm puzzled as to how you can describe the fact that  "people are being screwed" as a "new"  development - perhaps you have been searching in closets for  "sectarian politics" for too long and have allowed the last few years (and State budgets) to escape your attention ?

Thanks anyway !

Sharon.

I'm amazed and disturbed that people who regard themselves on
the political left consider the far-right Sean Sabhat/South to be worthy of
admiration.

"Between the late 1930s and 1950s a number of anti-semitic pamphlets were published by
Father Denis Fahey of the Holy Ghost missionary order. Fahy was an influential figure amongst
Irish Republicans such as Sean South, who established a branch of Fr. Fahy's organisation,
Maria Duce, in Limerick in 1954, following the priest's death, and disseminated his
writings...South can be seen to exemplify how sectarian anti-Semitism persisted in Limerick
in devotional and nationalist movements half a century after the 1904 pogrom".

"Racism and Social Change in the Republic of Ireland", by Bryan Fanning, (p.70-1).

What did Sean South ever do for the Irish working class?

Hi Galway Man ! From my understanding of this event , Seán Sabhat is being commemorated for his contribution to Irish Republicanism , not because he was / wasn't a religious trade unionist ? Thanks, Sharon.
