Civil rights and end to torture! PROTEST CONTINUING REPRESSION OF SAHARAWI PEOPLE. POLITICAL ACTIVISTS A YEAR IN MOROCCAN PRISON WITHOUT EVEN A CHARGE. TORTURE A REGULAR OCCURRENCE. Western Sahara Action Ireland is holding this protest on International Human Rights Day to highlight the situation of the Saharawi people, their land occupied by Morocco, which has built a huge long wall dividing their country, and their people repressed, arrested, tortured and sometimes killed. Meanwhile the UN watch and do nothing and the EU pays Morocco to allow it to fish in Saharawi waters and an Irish-based company, San Leon, prospects for oil on their land without the permission of the Saharawi. Protest at the triangle opposite Trinity main gates 2-4pm. |
