Traditionally for republicans the month of December has been ‘Prisoners Month’. This year will be no different. 12 IRA POWs are still being held in various jails throughout Ireland. This is totally unacceptable given the historic decision by the army to call an end to the armed campaign in July 2005. It is equally unacceptable that this is happening 8 years after the signing of the Good Friday agreement, which should have secured their release, and over 10 years from the initiation of a peace process this is totally unacceptable. read full story / add a comment ![]()
