NASA's Marsoweb site offers amateur explorers the opportunity to assist in adding to it's knowledge base of Mars. Detailed maps,engineering data and interactive toolsfor studying the terrain are made available and visitors to the site are encouraged to explore and report on any important geologic feature that haven't been catalogued as yet. After giving IndyMedia a fair shot, I am through with it. It may be fine for announcements of events, but for op/ed and analysis pieces, it is more hassle than it is worth for me. Yesterday President Bush (the 2nd) of the USA addressed the United Nations general assembly appealing for support in Iraq, insisting the invasion was legitimate and ruling out a military withdrawl - "we must win".

Shortly afterwards President Zapatero of Spain addressed the same general assembly of the UN appealing for a high level "alliance of civilisations" to stem the spread of terrorism and commit to the full development of true democratic values. read full story / add a comment

The Blanket update includes, Davy Carlin on NIPSA Dispute, Mackers on Scargill, Mc Cann on Pat Finucane case , O Comain on Ulster Britishness, and Laim O Ruairc, on Waste.

That meeting on Scargill was very well attended and I believe Mackers gives a fair report of it although he has a dig at the SWP. Worth a read, as are the other items, I also think that the satire and pictures are getting better over time, but thats just my opinion. Keep it up! read full story / add a comment
