Integrating reflective practice with social and political engagement A short workshop for Buddhists who wish to put their insights into practice in a social or political context, and to activists who wish to bring clarity of vision to their activities through reflective "inner work". What has Buddhism got to offer in relation to the global crisis of capital? Ken Jones, a prominent proponent of socially engaged Buddhism, offers a provocative analysis of the world economic crisis from the perspective of Buddhist teaching. His lecture on Friday night will be followed on Saturday morning by a short workshop aimed at showing how reflective practice can be integrated with social and political engagement.
