Labour is "mission-driven", says Keir Starmer. But the last thing anyone should want is a Government with a mission, says David McGrogan. That's because a Government with a mission needs conscripts. That's you and me.

Animal abuse inappropriate for St Valentines Day!

A new development in hunting circles has the obviously hard- up North Galway hunt touting for business on the website DONEDEAL.

Some of them are just cardboard and flavouring. MRM I think the technical acronym is, Mechanically Recovered Meat. Which can include everything from the sheeps prions to the shit-stiffened tail of the sick bullock they flagged in the back door when the inspector was being diverted by the farmer's daughter.

But seriously, a little compromise can solve all this. I mean, all those horses and hounds(not to mention the unspeakable) need exercise.

I propose letting them dress up in their finery but, until the foxes prove a real plague, we substitute Fianna Failures for the fox, starting with foxy ahern and working our way through the pack.

Start with the SERIOUS vermin.
