What's the point of Unite? asks Ben Pile. They've backed a green agenda that's gutted British industry and destroyed jobs ? all while sitting on billions and failing to fight for workers caught in the crossfire.

Day of action to Defend Community Services

29th September Action - Diary Marker

Day of action to defend Community and Voluntary Sector

Once again the Government are seeking to make communities pay for the mistakes of the so called “elite”. The Minister for Finance has stated that he intends to cuts the Community & Voluntary sector disproportionally with an estimated 5,000 jobs losses. For many projects this will simply be a cut too far.

To challenge these proposals the Communities Against Cuts campaign is planning a number of event and actions over the coming months. This will include a mass mobilisation on Wednesday 29th September: please make note of this date in your diary.

We are hoping to bring recreate the vibrancy, creativity and energy of last Septembers action.

The location and type of action will be finalised and circulated in the coming weeks.

I dont suppose the clique members of these community schemes will attend , why indeed
should they as they have nothing to protest about .

The poor unfortunate plebs of the community will of course be there fighting a losing
battle as they always seem to be doing .

try asking the members of the cliques how many of their 'staff'' have toiled endessly
over stoves and ending up in the local boozers collecting money 'for worthy causes '
in order to elevate their standing in the community , selling tickets for prizes of which very
little cash actually ends up in the community whatsoever .
